Adventurers...
Community and church children, grades pre-K to 4, have available the Adventist
Adventurer Clubs, a Christian pre-scouting format especially focused on Adventist priorities, to fill the need for activities and to build relationships, one to another.
The Adventurer Club is a Seventh-day Adventist Church-sponsored ministry open to all children who agree to keep the Adventurer Pledge and Law.
The central theme is organized around the four basic relationships in a child's life:
- My God
- My Self
- My Family
- My World
The aim of the staff is to focus these relationships on Jesus Christ. The Adventurers are involved im many diverse activities and ministries as well as fund raising for the support of these ministries. Winter Haven's Adventurers were awarded the Adventurer Club of the Year at the Florida Conference 2006 Red Zone held at the Florida Camp Meeting in June. We are proud of this GREAT group of young people.
Winter Haven Warrior Adventurers will hold their Induction Ceremony Wednesday night, September 27. Two NEW Adventurers will be inducted into the club for the 2006-2007 year. Arlys Fortier, Adventurer director, has many activities planned for the Adventurers this year. The focus will be on helping children (those GREAT Adventurers) excel in Adventurers, but most importantly in Christ.
The Adventurers and Little Lambs, (Pathfindering for the younger set) have plans to bring excitement and accomplishment for this special age group. They are planning special weekend camping trips and will be working toward numerous honors for the Adventurers and the Little Lambs.
You can join today and be a part of this fast growing ministry for the children in
Winter Haven. The club, Adventurers and Little Lambs meet at the church, in the Cook-Iverson Activities Center, every Wednesday, 6:25-8:00 p.m. Schedule changes will occur and will be posted.
