Sand...from Tampa Bay
A Trip to the Shores of the Gulf of Mexico, Tampa Bay Beach ~ Thursday, April 29, 2004
Adventure in education--blended with a little sun, a little surf, lots of sand and plenty of FUN! That is how to describe the trip to the beach near Clearwater where the kids enjoyed their outing of fun in the sun. They made sand sculptures, lagoons for boats, castles and "a potty". (No, I'm not going there!) The purpose of the trip was to acquaint the kids with their environment and to collect SAND for their geography sand collecting project. They currently have sand from various other countries as well as places around the United States.
