August 10 ~ Camp Life in Oshkosh
Winter Haven's Warrior Pathfinder Club in Oshkosh, Wisconsin
Morning broke after the first night at the FOF Camporee as kids and staff began looking for breakfast. Food was important, but camporee fun and activities were formost on everyones mind. Alyssa Tillman became one of the great pin traders, but the rest were hot on her heels. Noon came and many of the Winter Haven Pathfinders were at the Main Gate to welcome a troop of "Bikers for Life" who had riden nearly 1500 miles. Just a few minutes behind the bikers the pathfinders welcomed a troup of unicyclists who had cycled more than 150 miles. Pin trading, meeting kids from all over the world and the big Opening Ceremony were all yet to come. "Ten minutes to bedtime" announced Rosellen Brown. Few complained!
