Fabulous Fifties Social;
A Fun Time for All Who Attended
February 15, 2003 ~ Winter Haven Adventist Church
The evening started with a wonderful "Sing and Smile and Praise" Vesper program to end the Sabbath. One of the highlights of the vespers was seeing everyone "acting" out the words of the song "Only a Boy Named David." We will not comment on how fast Frank can play or how short Scott's britches were. Let's not leave out Mr. Gary "Elvis" Coleman's high-collar shirt. Dad Coleman, how does it feel to be the only "normal" musician?
The Fabulous Fifties Social featured everything from Sally's "Nifty" Clam-diggers to the pastor's "high-water" pants. Two Anniversaries, John and Gwen Lewis, 45 Years, and Dick and Anita Lawrence, 57 Years, were celebrated, as well as several birthdays. Hoola hoops were the most popular of the attractions, but even the fun with the hoops could not delay appetites as everyone enjoyed Burgers and Hot Dogs with the works, Milk Shakes in delicious flavors and chips and dip. It was well attended and a fun time was had by all. Hats off to the social committee and all who worked so hard to make sure everyone enjoyed themselves.
