Hurricane Frances...
A Church Family Trusting God In the Face of Stormy Weather
Saturday Afternoon and Evening, September 4, 2004
Hurry up and WAIT! That sums up the feelings of many of the church family as they waited for Hurricane Frances. About 75 had gathered Sabbath morning for a wonderful time of Praise Music, Celebration of God's Blessings, A brief devotion and then A Time of Prayer. Most said the service was such a blessing. Pastor Bob and Wanda Beck say, "It made the day feel like Sabbath." Following the Devotional Service, many went home where all preparations had been made. But others stayed at the church where a "Safe Haven" was also a time of bonding and friendship as the group waited together for the Hurricane to come. This group CAMPING at the church dubbed themselves as the "Senior Pathfinders." Whether you are pictured here, or not, the church family is praying that you all will be safe in the protection of God.
