Sunday, October 10, The four Harts: Frank, Susie, Elma and Pam, along with Joe and Thelma Tighe, Susie Hart's parents, boarded the Holland America's ship M.S. Ryndam for a cruise of the Caribbean Islands to celebrate the Tighe's 60th Anniversary. A wonderful time was had by all as they visited several islands and enjoyed many shipboard delights. The visit to the Grand Turks was especially memorable for Joe Tighe as he was the flight engineer on the Air Force's C-130 that brought the astronauts to Grand Turk to meet John Glenn after he touched down near the island. There, they met together with President Lyndon B. Johnson to celebrate the success of the space program. Lot's of great memories!
