Have
a Blessed Sabbath Day
Announcements
July
31, 2010
WELCOME ONE AND ALL ~ We are delighted to have the
privilege of worshiping together on this beautiful Sabbath morning. We pray the
voice of God will speak to your heart and that you will see Jesus in all we
do.
FELLOWSHIP MINISTRY ~ Please accept our personal
invitation to enjoy a delightful lunch buffet today following the worship
service. This is a wonderful time for us all to form friendships and to enjoy
the blessings of lunch together as part of the “Family of God.” Remember, enjoy
the worship service, then the lunch that follows.
MIDWEEK HOUR OF PRAYER ~ Each Wednesday evening at
7pm everyone is invited to meet for an hour of sharing life’s struggles,
praising God’s goodness and praying for our friends, loved ones and
circumstances. You don’t have to worry
about how you are dressed or whether or not you are ‘prepared’ for the
study. This is a perfect opportunity to
invite your friends, neighbors and even strangers to come and share in the blessings
that come from spending an hour in heartfelt prayer with a God who cares. Come
as you are and lay your troubles at the feet of Jesus.
STUDIES IN HEALTH, NUTRITION AND DIET ~ Mondays, 6:30pm. Hosted by Ralph Ricks.
WEB SITE MINISTRY ~ www.WinterHavenSDA.org/ Our Internet presence reaching community
and guests.
GIVE KIDS THE WORLD ~
Please sign up in the foyer to volunteer for our monthly ministry at the
Kid’s Village in Kissimmee tomorrow. We
need volunteers to help serve breakfast to the families of children with
terminal illnesses.
SCHOOL
STARTS AUGUST 9 ~ Winter
Haven Adventist Academy is now registering students for the coming school
year. A great year is planned so get
your children registered now. Contact
Pastor Krause or Vicki Turner if you have any questions.
FOOD PANTRY HOURS ~ We are blessed to be able to help
our community through our Food Pantry.
If you are aware of any families who are in need of assistance, please
inform our Compassion Ministry team leader, Sheila Hurst-Bastin, Director of
Community Services. The Winter Haven Food Pantry will be OPEN the third Tuesday
of each month and as necessary for special needs. The next regular opening will
be August 17, 12 noon - 2pm. We are always
short of canned and boxed foods to give to families in need. Please drop off any donations in the foyer
or old kitchen.
REMEMBER OUR CHILDREN ~ Our new school year starts August 9.
School Operating income is dependent on your help. SAFE, (Student Aid for Education)
Funds are vital for the stability of our school. Please mark your donations on the tithe envelope, “SAFE”. Our church’s school children benefit from
your generous gifts of kindness.
HOW TO CONTACT THE PASTOR ~ Anyone needing to meet
with Pastor Krause during the week is encouraged to email pastor@winterhavensda.org
or call 863-662-9308 to arrange for an appointment.
BIBLE CONFERENCE FOR
HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS ~ Any high school student who would like to attend the
Bible Conference at Camp Kulaqua in October should contact Pastor Krause as
soon as possible.
FELLOWSHIP DINNERS ~ Members who stay for dinner are asked to bring a dish to share. Our hostesses are wonderful and generous in
providing lots of food for our guests to enjoy, but we are always in need of
additional items. If you’re not a cook,
then chips, crackers, vegetable trays, etc. are always welcome.
INSURANCE FOR OUR CHURCH ~ The insurance for our
church and school for the next year totals over $11,000. We didn’t reach our goal of having this
amount saved, so we have dipped into savings to make this payment. If every church family donated just $15 per
month to the insurance fund we could, over the course of a year, have enough
funds on hand to pay this bill. Please
pray about what you can do to help pay off this large bill. Some may not be
able to give large amounts, while others may be able to give more.
SUPPORT OF OUR SERVICE PERSONNEL ~ It is important
that we send cards periodically (the more often the better) to our service men
and women, especially those in high risk areas of combat. There is a “pouch” on
the bulletin board that contains the name and address of family members who are
in these areas of the world. Take a name slip from the pouch and send a card.
It might be the note that saves their life. NOTE: If you have family members
you would like to have included, please get the name and full address to Mrs.
Wanda Beck.
FUTURE ANNOUNCEMENTS
~ If you have any items of interest for our church family, please give your
written announcement to Susie Hart for inclusion in the bulletin. Announcements
may be given in person, mail or Email your announcements to
fshart@earthlink.net.
