Adventures in Safety
Adventurer Club Visited by Winter Haven Fire Safety Team
Fire Truck Visits to Teach Safety Honor, February 5, 2002
There was a buzz of excitement as the fire truck from the Winter Haven Fire Department arrived at the church parking lot Wednesday evening, Feb. 5. Roland Lafance, church safety officer, a retired professional fire fighter coordinated the demonstration in order to have the Adventurer Warriors learn about fire safety and work on an honor in safety. The demonstration included information about fire fighting equipment, personal and vehicle related, and allowed the children to interact with some of life's real heros. As you will see in the photos, the excitement never waned through-out the entire time the truck was here.
