Vacation Bible School in Winter Haven featured the setting of that little Bethlehem Village, just like we might have found it 2000 years ago. Upon entering the village, visitors found the registrars along with the census taker and a Roman Centurian. The quaint shops of the village offered village guests an opportunity to browse the streets and visit the shops of bakers, music merchants, sellers of colors, pottery makers, spice merchants and other businesses of yesteryear. The most exciting event in town that week was the woman who gave birth to a baby in, of all places, the inn-keepers stable. What kind of a future would someone have who had such a humble beginning? See the photos here and get a taste of that little village where Jesus was born.

Well, folks, you have only seen half of the Bethlehem Village. More than 40 guests came daily to sample fresh baked goods at the bakery and to learn how spices not only age great for flavor and aroma, but also have spiritual applications. That's enough talk, now head back to the village and see what kept guests coming back day after day! Watch for details and times for next year's VBS.
