Children's Ministry Program    Vacation Bible School   Galilee By the Sea   Winter Haven Adventist Church July 11-12, 18-19, 25-26, 2009

Vacation Bible School opened with a "storm" (yes, I mean a real rain storm). Even so, the children and staff came to visit that special little town by the shore of Galilee. Sandi Duerr, Vanda Philip, Charles Dismuke, and Linda Duke along with a wonderfully talented staff of teachers and craft specialists developed the setting of Galilee By the Sea, a quaint fishing village just like we might have found it 2000 years ago. The gathering brings village residents and visitors together to learn about Jesus. The quaint shops of the village Market Place offers village guests an opportunity to browse the streets and visit the shops of bakers, sandle makers, carpenters, ship builders, rope makers, potery decorators, farm animals and other businesses of yesteryear. The most exciting event in town was the visit to the Rabbi (Thanks to Jim and Trudy Mike and Pam Hart) who brought the synagogue service to life. A Special thank you to Paul Johnson, Men's Ministries and Marcia Morgan, Women's Ministries who together took care of much of the refreshments and snacks for the VBS kids and staff.
